Johnny_Mango's Sunday Wallpaper: Broke Open Log
SAN ANTONIO HOT SPRINGS, JEMEZ MTS.--Does a tree ever die? Does new life count? Do we and trees share the same mortal fate? And is there beauty in that?

Does a tree ever die? Looking at this photo, I have to say "no." This tree just lay down and dissolved into the earth, melding from one form of life into another. From tree to mulch to bush.
Do we do that? I wonder. If, when I die, I lay my body down on the forest floor, I'll become mulch too, and then a weed, most likely. I'd like to think our spirits do a similar thing, on a very different plane.

Guess I'll know when I get there.
